G'day fellow Tacoma owners! I'm planning a big trip through the Victorian High Country next month - thinking Mansfield to Mount Hotham, possibly pushing through to some of the more remote alpine tracks around Falls Creek area.
Currently running the stock Bridgestone Duelers that came with my 2022 SR5, but I'm not confident they'll handle the rocky terrain and potentially muddy conditions we might encounter. The truck's still pretty much stock suspension-wise, so I don't want to go too aggressive with tyre choice.
What are you Aussie Taco owners running for this type of terrain? I've been looking at:
- BFGoodrich KO2s in 265/70R16
- Goodyear Duratrac - heard mixed reviews though
- Maybe something a bit more highway-friendly since it's a long drive from Melbourne
Also keen to hear any specific track recommendations if you've done similar runs. Cheers!
