Hey fellow Boricua Tacoma owners! I'm looking to upgrade my suspension and need recommendations for trustworthy shops in the San Juan metro area. I've got a 2020 TRD Sport and want to install some Bilstein 5100s with a small lift.

I'm a bit hesitant to do the work myself since I don't have a proper garage setup here, and honestly, I'd rather have professionals handle the alignment afterwards. Has anyone had good experiences with local shops that know their way around Tacomas?

Also curious about pricing - what should I expect to pay for labor on a basic suspension swap? Thanks in advance, hermanos!

Auto Servicio Ramirez in Carolina did amazing work on my 2018 TRD Off-Road. They installed my Icon Vehicle Dynamics stage 2 kit and the truck rides like a dream now.

The owner, Miguel, actually owns a modified Tundra so he really knows Toyotas inside and out. Labor was around $400 for the full install including alignment, which seemed very fair. They even pressure washed the undercarriage before starting the work!

I second Auto Servicio Ramirez! Miguel did my King Shocks last year and the quality was top notch.

Another option is Taller Medina in Bayamón - they specialize in 4x4 work and have done several Tacomas for guys in our WhatsApp group. Pricing is similar, maybe $50 cheaper, but the wait time can be longer since they stay pretty busy with all the Jeep Wrangler crowd.

Bro, if you're willing to make the drive to Caguas, check out 4x4 Solutions PR. They did suspension work on my buddy's 3rd gen and also installed his CBI Offroad bumper setup.

They're a bit more expensive (around $500-600 for labor) but they really take their time and do things right. Plus they have a full alignment rack and can handle the more complex setups if you ever want to go bigger later on.

Just avoid the Toyota dealership for aftermarket stuff - they quoted me almost double what these independent shops charge!
