Well, I finally did it. The factory tires are gone, and my 2025 Tacoma Trailhunter is now sitting on 285/70R18 Falken Wildpeak A/T4Ws from Wheel Hero.
And man, what a difference in appearance!
But looking good and actually fitting are two different things.
I knew going bigger might come with a few surprises, especially since I'm keeping my factory 18-inch bronze wheels.
So instead of just showing off the new tires in the driveway, I took the Trailhunter out for some real-world testing — highway driving, trails, creek crossings, and some tight turns.
And sure enough, I ran into an issue.
The interesting part? It wasn't quite what I expected, and the solution turned out to be pretty straightforward.
In the video, I show the size difference, what I discovered during testing, the modifications involved, and whether I'd recommend this tire size for another 4th-gen Tacoma owner.

Here's my question for everybody running oversized tires on a 4th-gen Tacoma: What's the biggest tire you've managed to fit, and did anything surprise you after installation?
Keep it smoky, keep it between the ditches!
